He has advised Operators, Vendors and Financial investors in over 40 countries on a range of Operational, Strategic and Financial issues.
Recent clients have included EE, Cable & Wireless, telent, Ericsson, eir, Lilly and O2. He has also advised numerous Private Equity Investors on investments in telecoms, IT, and service industries.
Prior to joining Mentor, Ian was a founding partner in Credo, an international Strategy Consultancy, where Ian was responsible for its Telecoms activities.
Mike operates successfully at Board level as a COO and Change Director for listed and unlisted telecoms, technology and media companies.
He is a proven leader in large, complex organisations where time-to-market is critical – involving people, process, policy and technology. He produces exceptional results – managing and coaching teams while delivering financial and operational objectives through effective strategic alignment.
His recent experience includes building [and launching] the world’s first LTE-only network from the ground up, in parallel with setting up the Network Operator for Tele2 in the Netherlands.
Prior to this, he delivered the Change Program at MBNL to ensure the business met its strategic objectives for the LTE networks of the two shareholders, EE and Three. Mike also managed the Program that delivered the back office and financial systems to support of the first ever mobile consumer business for O2.
